AngloInfo - Poitou Charentes New site giving information in English, on services, events etc available in the Poitou Charentes region.

Total France Very interesting site about all things French. Has a very good discussion forum where you can pick the brains of people who have bought places in France. Has some very useful and interesting ad's from people selling everything from houses in France to Hand painted glassware!

Living France magazine A very good monthly magazine on all things French. Has an excellent on line discussion Forum which is free. The info we picked up here was one of the major factors in us being able to move to France.

Lost in France Info on buying property, living and working in France. Everything from salamanders to social security.

Tony's site Tony was a great help to us when we moved out. Now he's moved down to the Pyrenees into a house that has been unoccupied for 100 years! Yes he's mad! He has a good site with recipes, tips on small holdings and a diary page. Great site to visit if your coming to France to do the 'Full Monty' or like hearing about people living in France.

George East Books A series of books about the joys and perils of moving to France. A good read whether you're thinking of taking the plunge or not. Loads of useful info on the web site, plus you can order the books direct from George.

French Yellow Pages French Yellow Pages, with and English version.

Business in France Info Information on setting up a business in France. Much of it is in English.

Travel & Communication

Ryanair Cheap flights web site. They're definitely 'no frills', but at the prices they charge you can't knock it. They've always got some sort of special offer on (Poitiers - Stansted return £30 inc taxes etc) and they fly all over Europe.

AltaVista's Babel Fish Translation Service We've used this a lot. Too much, if truth be told. Don't rely on it totally though. You will still have to check and correct.

Wine Glass Charms Our friend Eleanor in Australia makes wine glass charms for all occasions. Weddings, special dinner parties etc. If you don't know what they are check out her website. Delivery to anywhere in the world, not a problem.
